Amazon rain forest.
Located on the shores of the beautiful Yarinacocha lagoon, just
20 minutes from Pucallpa city, Jana Shobo is the ideal place to
enjoy unforgettable vacations with your family and friends.
How can
you get to Jana Shobo Amazonian Lodge?
You can reach Pucallpa city from Lima by air in
a 50 minutes flight, or by land in a 2 days trip.
|
By air: Your time is limited and you are looking
for the most comfortable way to reach Pucallpa? Daily flights
from Lima get you there within less than an hour.
By land: You have plenty of time and your
trip is about more than just getting there? Take the opportunity
to discover the Peruvian countryside, travelling from the
coast across the Andes all the way to the Amazon basin. Stop
over in Huanuco or Tingo Maria to visit the Huayllay Stone
Forest in Cerro de Pasco, the Owl's Cave in Tingo María
and the Bride's Veil at Padre Abad's gorge. This takes two
days, but it is time well spent.

people interested in eco-tourism and getting to know the native
communities of the region. This is also the perfect place for those

When is the best
time to visit Jana Shobo?
The best time to visit Jana Shobo is during the
dry season from June to October. However, you might consider visiting
during the rainy season, when the water of the lagoon is high enough
for canoeing deep into the rain forest. The lodge is also marvellously
beautiful when surrounded by water. The name "Jana Shobo"
was given to the lodge for this reason. In the Shipibo-Conibo dialect,
Jana Shobo literally means "House on the water".
